The solder is the real magic that is drawn into the cables and fills the ferrules to give maximum adhesion. It took a German trained goldsmith and a quite a bit of experimentation to get the solder to workOur solder is Lead (Pb) and Cadmium (Cd) free. What is Cadmium? It is bad and you don't want it in your van.
