About Us
My name is Aaron
After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force I became a bench jeweler and a goldsmith. When our van door broke, I knew I could fix it and do it right. It took me several tries, but I got it to work, then it would break immediately after and I would take it all apart again. Honda left us in the position of buying their expensive assembly, when a much cheaper solution was possible. So, I did the best I could and after fixing it, a friend with the same issue asked if I could help him. Word of mouth spread and I was fixing a lot of these. Then I started selling the service, then I designed the kit and with some hesitation I started selling on eBay. I was worried that customers might make mistakes, but providing them with good instructions and a great product allowed me to sell thousands of these.
Now, others are trying to make the same kit at lower costs with lower quality materials.
I do my best to maintain a competitive price, but I won’t sell something I wouldn’t put in my own van. The reason the 1999-2004 kits are more expensive is because they are made by hand and they are using a special flux made just for me by a friend that is a metallurgical engineer. The ferrule ends are hand made and while I could make them easier, the quality would suffer. I won’t make that compromise.
I have had many people come to me for help with products from other manufacturers that have failed. I even have some unscrupulous sellers direct their customers to my website for instructions. I thought about locking the instructions to only my customers, but I can’t in good conscious do that. I hope that my integrity prevails over low-priced junk sold by people who copy my quality products.
I never let my customers go away unhappy. I only sell something I can guarantee.
